Fort Gaines Re-enactors firing cannon

Re-Enactors fire cannon for the event May, 1999...
Load and FIRE!!! Make each shot count!!!
Team member on the left holds a "worm" which is used
to clear the barrel of any smouldering remnants which might ignite
the next charge as it is rammed home.
Man on the right holds the "tamper" which is used to push
black power into the cannon and 'tamping' it tight before
the cannon ball in dropped in. Team captain in the middle
aims and fires the piece.
