"Civil War camp - Visitors to Dauphin Island got a special treat last weekend when a group of about 30 Civil War buffs from four states gathered to re-enact a day in the life of a Civil War soldier assigned to Fort Gaines. In full, authentic costume, with period weapons, the 'soldiers' and their lady-friends re-created a typical non-combat day at the fort."
